Is Google Analytics really illegal in Europe?
Yes. Six EU data protection authorities (France, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Norway) have ruled that Google Analytics violates GDPR because it transfers personal data to US servers. The CNIL (France) has issued fines and set a June 2026 migration deadline. AnonView stores all data in Europe with no US transfers.
Do I need a developer to install this?

Do I need a cookie consent banner?

How is this different from Plausible or Matomo?

What data do you collect?
